Wikipedia has a list of common tent camping equipment:
- A tent, lean-to or other shelter device
- A sleeping bag for warmth
- A sleeping pad or air mattress is often placed underneath the sleeping bag for cushioning from stones and twigs as well as for insulation from the ground (Janet notes, or a Tent Cot so you will be off the ground altogether!)
- A portable stove to prepare hot meals and/or drinks where campfires are forbidden or impractical
- A lantern or flashlight
- A hatchet, axe or saw for cutting firewood (where allowed; see campfire) or constructing camp gadgets
- Various types and sizes of ropes and tarps for stringing clotheslines, sheltering dining areas, and other purposes.
- A chuck box to hold the many varied camp kitchen items for food preparation, consumption and cleanup.
Some campers may prepare food by cooking on a campfire, sometimes using such equipment as a Dutch oven.

Florida Campgrounds
Florida is a popular camping destination. Whether you are visiting Disney World and want a family camping experience, or you are traveling by RV, you will find great campgrounds in Florida. There are state parks with many campgrounds. You can even find beaches to camp on.
The problem with Florida campgrounds though is that there are bugs, and humidity and creatures. I visited Florida this year and I wouldn’t dare camp without a Tent Cot with a rain fly.
Did you know?
There are over 140 Florida State Parks.
Florida campgrounds have a lot to offer the outdoor enthusiast.

A Tent Cot Welcome
It’s time to break the silence and let the blog begin. We are Kevin, Kevin (who I call Stitch), and Janet (Janet is the head blogger). We’re Tent Cot resellers and entrepreneurs. Kevin S. discovered Tent Cots and introduced us to them. We became fans.
I think just about every biology department in the country needs a Tent Cot. They are ideal for researchers to use when they are in the field. I wish the stockroom at my school had one (I have a biology degree).
Coming up we will add a video to show you how easy it is to set up a tent cot. I’m also going to tell you about my camping adventures. If you have any stories of your own, please share.
